One of the most valuable aspects of being a member of Woodland Hills Country Club is sharing the great game of golf with the entire family. WHCC is committed to itís Junior Golf Program and has been recognized by the SCGA for actively supporting Junior Golf in the Community as well as in the Southern California area by hosting regional Junior Amateur Qualifiers. WHCC is the home course for local High School Golf teams and the California State University Northridge Ladies Matador Golf Team.
We have an exceptional Juniorís program with events held throughout the year. Woodland Hills Country Club has great practice facilities for Juniors with total access to putting greens, chipping area and a practice range.
Aside from Etiquette and Rules, the Junior Program strives to teach the junior golfer that Golf is a healthy, fun game for life. The lessons and skills learned on the course can be applied to everyday life (at home, school and in inter-personal relationships) that will be useful throughout life.
Juniors can play unlimited free rounds as long as they are 23 years of age or younger and live at home. Moreover, on the third Saturday every month Juniors can share the beauty of the country club experience with a fellow junior golfer guest free of charge. Woodland Hills is truly a family club, especially at the annual Fatherís Day golf tournament, which brings golfers of all generations together to compete in a fun nine-hole scramble tournament.
Woodland Hills Country Club is a fantastic place to spend time together as a family. Golf is a game for life! Many Juniors have graduated from the WHCC junior program to major University golf teams on full scholarships and it is always a welcome homecoming at WHCC!
Having kids participating in the Junior's Program brings added value and benefit to a Woodland Hills Country Club membership.
